Originally published 1681. Note on verso of title page: "The second edition includes all additional material written by Robert Knox for his second edition during the years 1681 to 1713 and hitherto unpublished. It also includes all the glosses inserted by Knox between the lines of the printed text. There have been numerous editions of Knox's book in many languages and in many forms in the 308 years between his first edition and the second. The manuscript of Knox's second edition of the Historical relation is deposited in the Ethnography Dept. of the British Museum. The manuscript of Knox's Autobiography is in the Bodleian Library, Oxford".
