Deduction of Eduard Zander as the artist is based upon the work of Dr. Gerd Gruber, published in an article in the Tabor Society journal in 2005, which traces the original artwork to a signed volume of sketches held in the British Museum [Abyssinian Studies., Sketchbook, German, 197.a.5].
